4 October 2006: Dayeh Takashimaya

I went to Dayeh Takashimaya（大叶高岛屋）, which is the only Takashimaya outlet in Taipei. There is a total of 12 stories in the shopping complex, but only 4 "functional" ones around; the rest are just office floors. Anyway, little differs much from what we see in Singapore, and I consider our Ngee Ann City to have offered a wider variety of goods and services. In the first place, Dayeh Takashimaya is a chore to go to: it is located in a "rich" estate and thus the area is not served well by a public transport network. I was almost lost on my way there on a bus (took the wrong bus and then walked a fair bit before reaching the place).
